All About Me
Hi All,
For my first blog EVER, I thought I would introduce myself and tell you a bit about me.
My name is Julie and I live in Wisconsin. I am married to a wonderful guy, and we have 3 cats: Madeleine, age 2, and Julius & Mitchells, both age 3. They are our "kids" for now. :) Madeleine was a stray I found at my work. She was wandering around in the alley behind my office, and came in the building and I couldn't let her go, she was SO small. Julius we got from the humane society, he was a surrender, and Mitchells was a stray that we got from a no-kill cat shelter. One of these days I will get around to posting their pictures on here.
I like all sorts of music, but since I am such a fan of classic Hollywood, I find myself interested in music from the 1920s-1930s lately. I also enjoy the clothes of the times, and also the slang! It seems to me like the 1920s-1930s would have been a great time to have been alive. Even though the depression was going on in the 1930s, people still had fun, and made the most of what they had.
As for music, I enjoy Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, The Killers, STP, Flogging Molly, Muse, Seether, So...James, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Oasis, Rilo Kiley, The Bravery, just to name some favorite artists/bands.

Hello Julie,
Glad that you made your first blog post here. I too am a fan of classic Hollywood and live in Los Angeles. If you like music from the '30s click on the main page and listen to Man From Harlem by Cab Calloway.
In the song he mentions a club called "Mike's" and coincidentally I came across a street map of Harlem from the 30's and there were dozens of clubs including the famous Cotton Club and much to my disbelief, Mike's.
I'm going to see if I can find the map and I'll post a link to it.
Like you I'm a cat lover and have three. One indoor cat, one outdoor cat and on indoor/outdoor cat.
